Two more confirmed cases and five suspect cases occurred in Michigan. All seven cases consumed raw sprouts in sandwich shops. The two confirmed cases have the same genetic fingerprint as cases reported by the CDC earlier which was associated with clover sprouts consumed in Jimmy Jonh's restaurants.The two cases confirmed are female too.

A five-state E. coli O26 outbreak is associated with clover sprouts

Since 15/2/2012, the agent has caused 12 illnesses in five states (Iowa :5, Missouri : 3 , Kansas : 2, Arkansas :1, and Wisconsin :1). Two of them have been hospitalized. All 12 victims are female ranging in age from 9 to 49. It has been found the outbreak is associated with clover sprouts severed by Jimmy John’s.
